QuickGifts Security & Privacy
Personal Information Collected by QuickGifts
We gather customer information that helps us achieve the goal of providing the highest quality services. You can voluntarily provide certain personally identifiable information (that is information containing specifics of who you are) including your name, mailing address, email address, credit card number and other identification and contact information. We request this information to enable us to process and fulfill your order(s), keep you informed of your order status or when you want to set up an account for calendar reminders and other services we provide. For added security, we do not store your credit card number in our system. All along, our primary goal is to ensure that you receive a smooth, efficient and customized service while using our website.
We may send emails to our users announcing special promotions, changes in our services or other information we believe will be of interest to our users. If you prefer not to receive email, you can send us an email with the subject line "no emails" or reply to our email with the subject line "no emails".
Use of Personal Information
The information you provide us is used to tailor our website to create convenient services for you and to improve your shopping experience. All the information we collect in our database is intended for internal use only. We use the information to handle purchase orders, redemption tracking and provide other services to our customers and others with registered accounts. QuickGifts does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
We cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Statement. For example, we may be required to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, or third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications.
We do reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we in good faith believe to be unlawful. In such cases, we may provide information to regulatory authorities and law enforcement agencies or when we otherwise believe in good faith that the law requires it.
QuickGifts takes every precaution to protect our customer's information. When users submit sensitive information via the Web site, their information is protected both online and offline. All purchases (online credit card transactions) made at any QuickGifts site are handled by VeriSign, our third-party payment processing company. When VeriSign billing form asks customers to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - Secure Socket Layering (SSL) - that ensures safe Internet transmission of your personal information.
In order to be sure that the information transferred between your browser and the VeriSign server is secure, it is important to be aware of the security information available to you through your browser.
While on a secure page, the lock icon at the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open mode, when users are just 'surfing'. To confirm this, look at the bottom part of your browser window. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending upon your browser) you can be sure that your information is secure and you can safely enter your payment details.
If you do not see one of these icons, please contact your Internet service provider. You can also ensure security by checking the URL line of your browser. When the letters "http" in the URL change to "https" the "s" indicates you are in a secure area employing SSL. Your browser may also give you a pop-up message that you're about to enter a secure area. Most browsers offer additional security alerts as well.
